Sydney Central Railway Station

Located at the city's heart, Sydney Central Railway Station is the main terminal in Australia for inter-state. This station also provides high-speed connectivity to the Sydney Airport, the Blue Mountains, and the light rail to start from here.

As one of the first stations in Australia,​ Sydney Central Railway Station has changed a lot since its original construction in 1855. It was originally built at Redfern in a place called Cleveland Fields where you can find Redfern Train Station now situated. The present location at Haymarket was opened on 4 August 1906, designed by Government Architect Walter L. Vernon and construction took just over two years to complete. The present building is photogenic with an eye-catching architecture and a 75-meter clock tower in the classic style.

The station is now the terminus for all intercity rail traffic, and it serves almost all suburban lines as well.​ With a number of different facilities, it's the modern travel hub, where you are sure to enjoy your trip. All travelers are welcome to take advantage of ticket desks and machines, waiting rooms, currency exchange points (including ATMs) and left luggage facilities as well.
